Peanut Butter & Jelly Making- Extreme- Video Project 1

Hello all. The focus of this first video project was to "simply... tell a story." Using the in-and-out of framing technique, also apart of the assignment, was a basic, but helpful skill.

This second video was created for the sake of humor. I first questioned my mom about what something interesting would be that I could sequence through video. I came to the conclusion that a ‘how-to’ video about making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, with the talent as my boyfriend, Chad, would work well!! :)

I shot this video in the evening, inside my home. After shooting the video in sequence, I brought it to school, the following day, to upload, edit and publish. The problem came when I realized I had, during the middle segment of filming, started recording when setting up the shot and pausing the camera when
“filming”!!! :/ Lesson learned.

After having my boyfriend come back to my home, the following day, I knew prior that the lighting shown in the beginning and ending segments of my first video where not shown all that much, therefore I could film the middle segment later at night (due to his prior commitments).

The second round of filming was not very difficult because, for the most part, we knew where the shots would be taken. During each round, I filmed some shots from various angles (**my boyfriend’s idea**).

I had some options of music, to incorporate into the video, before filming the first time. Sometime afterward, I selected what music I wanted.

While you wait for my next video, check out other YouTube videos of mine at youtube.com/morganbriesmaster.

Here is a picture of a sandwich I made for myself a couple days later! ;)

Not my typical-looking sandwich... similar to Chad's, though! :)

Me, Myself and I

Having never met me or even a person like me, I will start by telling you a bit about me through a rendition of the "Fresh Prince of Bel Air" theme song (artist: another person, rewrite: myself).

"Yo this is the story all about how
My life got twist turned upside down
Now I'd like to take a minute,
Just sit right there,
I'll tell you how I became friends with
Her, so fare...
In San Antonio she was born and raised,
Oh the high school is where she spend most of my days
Chilin' and relaxin' and acting all cool
And shooting that smile outside of the school
When a couple of guys,
Who just wanted to please,
They all got down each one on his knee
They offered one little kiss and her mom got scared
And said, "You're a little too pretty, and that's not fair!"
The next day at school,
In the office, it was
The boys all said hey,
Have you heard the buzz?
Everyone is saying that this girl is rare,
But hey man, whatever, take a chance if you care!
She is absolutely beautiful,
I'd day nine or ten,
Best student out there,
Just look her grin.
Student population all looks up to her,
And that's our girl,
Miss. Briesmaster."

The title of my blog is "Smile" for a reason... I love it!!! Please know that was a silly attention getter. I will now tell you who I really am.

This blonde hair, blue-eyed San Antonio, Texas Spurs fan (see video below), comes from a military family of eight children, my mom and dad. Typically moving every two years, born in Texas, I traveled from East to West Coast; it was exhausting, but worthwhile. Each move brought change, of course, including a new church, friends, schools, living environment, and so on. Living on base, as we did in some of the states we moved to and from, brought me to the realization of its being its own city. Another finding I made, while being a dependent, was the amount of support, inside of me, that I displayed for our country!

After moving here, my family made the decision to retire... in UTAH?? This state was an ultimate climate shock. Being raise Baptist, I find myself, my family included, strengthened in our faith, by the culture and climate that surrounds Utah. We have attended Washington Heights Church for four years now. God has placed the opportunities and people that surround the church to enrich my walk with Christ.

Since high school, I have yearned to be a news anchor for a national news station. Although I know it will take work (including the possibility of moving) and time, I am highly ambitious and willing. Currently, as a reporter for Weber State University's news, I film, edit and publish videos about numerous topics, as well as occasionally anchoring for their news and sports show. You can look for my videos and Weber State's newscasts at: youtube.com/morganbriesmaster (please, subscribe) and weberstatenews.org)

Lastly, I have been blessed with a wonderful family, boyfriend and best friend, who support, encourage and love me in all that I do. I thank God... what He has done for me no one else could!!!
